An open kitchen was further opened visually by removing a soffit and a post. Additional space was created around the cooktop by relocating the refrigerator while maintaining adequate pantry storage. The style of the kitchen was unified by using the same Shaker natural maple cabinetry throughout the kitchen and buffet area. The dark granite countertop contrasts nicely with the light cabinets and backsplash and colorful walls.
