A great room with this open kitchen was created by removing two walls that separated the old kitchen and dining room from the living room. The function was improved by creating a prep zone at the island sink, a cooking zone at one end and the clean up zone in between. There is also seating both at the island and at the table in the dining area. The style was updated with classic finishes: cherry cabinets and granite countertops, handmade ceramic tile backsplash and stainless steel finishes.
